(ABC 6 News) – With Halloween in the rearview mirror and winter quickly approaching employers are starting to ramp up on their holiday hiring. But, the pandemic is causing ongoing worker shortage concerns.
The owner of the Steeplechase Event Center in Mazeppa says they are no exception. Justin Steck said they just wrapped up their wedding season and are worried about getting staff up to full force for winter activities.
“It’s kind of a question mark as to how often can people work to actually know the total number we’ll need and then if we have the people coming and going to expect if they don’t like the job then we’ll need to grow that list even larger so its one of those things that we have to learn as the season goes on,” said Justin Steck, owner of the Steeplechase Event Center.
If the weather permits they are hoping to open for tubing in the next few weeks.
