Emmons woman taken to the hospital after crash Monday afternoon

(ABC 6 News) – An Emmons woman was taken to the hospital following a crash Monday afternoon in Freeborn County.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash happened near Twin Lakes around 5:45 p.m. near Highway 69 and 720th Ave.

A van driven by a 31-year-old Emmons woman was heading north on the highway while a car driven by a 50-year-old from Glenville was headed south on the highway. The MSP crash report said the two vehicles collided at the intersection.

Airbags were deployed in both vehicles and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered serious. The male driver was not hurt.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
