(ABC 6 NEWS) – The holiday season is upon us and our annual Toys for Tots Campaign is in full swing.

This year’s goal is to get around 30,000 toys to help around 10,000 kids in Southeast Minnesota.

Right now, the toys they need most are for ages 10 and up.

"The best thing I would say is to take kids those ages shopping with you or if you have kids that age go and ask them what they would like," said 1st Sgt. Vince Reynolds the United States Marine Corps Reserve (Ret.) who runs the SE Minnesota Toys for Tots campaign.

Reynolds added, "The specific items I think we see coming in are makeup kits for girls, straighteners, curling irons, and things like that. Electronic devices a lot of people are liking the wireless charing things now there are all kinds of things like lamps with wireless chargers on them."

If you want to donate there are 120 drop-off locations across the region.

You can donate at our ABC 6 News studio in the T.J. Maxx Plaza in Rochester.

The campaign ends on Dec. 22.
