(ABC 6 News) – Students at Woodson Kindergarten Center returned for another school year on Monday.

Nearly 400 students were welcomed as they begin their K-12 experience.

The school said it is taking extra measures to make sure that kids stay safe during the pandemic, while still making sure to get that hands-on experience in the classroom.

"We’re wishing for a healthy and happy year full of learning new things // kindergarteners will be with their classroom for the day. We do handwashing before and after stations, so children are still able to get that hands-on learning opportunity," Woodson Kindergarten Center Principal Jill Rollie said.

Students at Ellis Middle school also made their way into the classroom Monday morning.
