2021 Creepy Doll Contest Winner!

The winner of the Olmsted County History Center’s Creepy Doll contest has been announced.

This year, doll number 9, Gagool is 2021’s Creepy Doll winner!

Every October, The History Center of Olmsted County holds its Creepy Doll Contest.

The contest started in 2019 when one of the History Center volunteers was looking through their collection for something fun for Halloween.

This year, there were nine dolls and some of them date back to the 1800s.

"We have thousands of items in our collection there is no physical way for us to display all of them but these displays allow us to get more of those objects out and into the public view and so we are really excited to be able to do that and tell stories in a unique way that gets people excited," Abby Currier from the History Center of Olmsted County said.

On Facebook, the History Center says this is a way to educate people on the important work museums do collecting and preserving historical artifacts.
