NWS confirms two tornadoes in Dodge County

(ABC 6 News) – The National Weather Service in La Crosse has released new information and confirmed two landspout tornadoes touched down in rural Dodge County on Monday night.

The first tornado touched down 5 miles northeast of Blooming Prairie and was on the ground for approximately five minutes, from 6:18 p.m. to 6:23 p.m. It was 35 yards wide and 0.2 miles in length. Estimated peak winds were 65 mph giving it an EF0 rating. No damage was reported from this tornado.

Meanwhile, the second tornado touched down 5 miles northwest of Hayfield and was on the ground for approximately three minutes, from 6:25 p.m. to 6:28 p.m. It was 50 yards wide and 0.2 miles in length. Estimated peak winds were 70 mph giving it an EF0 rating. No damage has been reported.
