Clipped with a dusting south

Chris Kuball ABC 6 Chief Meteorologist

We're too dry to get much of substance to slide up from that major storm to our south.  At best a dusting of snow materializes south of US 18 in north Iowa on Tuesday morning.  That's it.  Parts of southern, central and western Iowa will see as much as 10 to 16" of snow!  So keep that in mind if travel takes you south tonight into Tuesday.

Behind this system, the colder air is pushing back in.  Our nights will flirt with freezing and days will stay largely in the teens (sans tomorrow)

Our next focus will be on the weekend with another storm system moving in.  This one will swing up with a warmer air component.  We'll monitor to see how that exactly pans out for Saturday.  On the back side, we'll close with snow and cold for Sunday into early next week.
