Thunder & snow, just not thundersnow

They won't be coming together, but the next day and a half will hold both thunder and snow.  Soaking waves of rain return early Saturday morning and continue throughout Sunday morning.  A few afternoon claps of thunder are possible.  Severe weather is just a stone's through away into Wisconsin, Illinois and eastern Iowa but we'll steer clear from that.  At the tail end, early Sunday morning snow will try to mix in.

Temperatures are cooler over the weekend but show some signs of life early next week.  We'll aim for marks in the 50s leaving many people likely looking to get out of the house for a while.  This stretch should provide that opportunity.
