Taking the step into Winter

Temperatures are cooling down.  We'll be in the upper 30s to about 40 on both days this weekend.  But next week is really when the chill begins to arrive.  It all begins after a storm system moves through the Midwest on Sunday.

We will largely miss the impacts of that large system.  Just a couple spotty showers are possible Sunday morning.  But most of the day is quiet.  Sunday night brings wrap around snow showers into the area with little to no accumulation.  The wind will be up there though... especially into Monday where we'll likely have sub-zero wind chills at times.  But there shouldn't be enough snow to create any issues.

Speaking of snow, our first opportunity to take that step into winter is materializing for Tuesday.  Accumulating snow is possible.  It won't be a massive winter storm but enough snow is there to create some travel impacts.  We've given Tuesday an Alert Day.
