First chance of rain arrives Thursday

Rain is knocking at the door.  We'll carry chances for Thursday into the weekend.  Periodic showers and thunderstorms will move through.  The initial offering will push in during the mid-afternoon on Thursday and carry on scattered in nature into the start of the night.

The most soaking period will be Thursday afternoon into Friday afternoon.  But showers and even a few rumbles will carry on this weekend too.  They'll become less numerous as things push out of the area southeast.

We're still not looking at much for strong to severe storms.  Rainfall amounts will have some wide ranges in amounts from 1/2" to 1 1/4".  Temperatures will suffer a bit Friday and Saturday as clouds hunker down.
