Another prospect for needed rain

We're breaking the heat.  Temperatures are reverting to seasonable norms or even below over the next week ahead.  Highs for Saturday hit the low 80s with the sky filled with sunshine.

Sunday sees things that sway in our favor on the rain front.  Saturday night into Sunday morning, some easy showers and storms cruise into the area.  After a mid-day break we should try to reset for Sunday evening thunderstorms.  We have an ALERT DAY going for the possibility of that second wave holding strong storm potential.  But this should be beneficial for rainfall though.  Prospects are higher for some solid amounts.  For now we'll aim for 0.5-1.0" across much of our area.

After the rain, we're getting an infusion of chilly air.  Highs only manage the 60s on Monday but crawl back up by the later stages of the week.  Periodic small rain opportunities are dotting next week too.
