Storm Threat Thursday

Showers and thunderstorms are looking likely on Thursday.  The late afternoon into the overnight is when we'll be watching for severe potential.  Though a couple late morning showers are possible, they won't be too concerning.  After a warm front surges through in the afternoon, temperatures briefly spike.  The setup into the afternoon will be favoring growth of thunderstorms after 4 PM.  Initially, threats of hail, wind and tornadoes will be present.  Eventually, as thunderstorms form into a line, damaging wind will become the primary threat.

There is also a signal that a secondary line of storms moves through overnight.  We'll monitor this activity as well, but it should be weaker than initial storms.

A cold front is causing all this craziness.  This will knock the temperatures back drastically for Friday into the weekend.  60s and 50s will become the norm.  Saturday is the coolest.  Ample clouds and a few showers will keep temps low.
