Gloomy end to 2023, sunny start to 2024

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!!

Roads are in better shape with freezing drizzle and snow both out of our area, but you will still want to give yourself extra time heading to any parties due to heavy traffic as well as some sneaky, slick spots. Rural communities and bridges/overpasses will be most susceptible to slick spots.

Temperatures will be in the low-20s as fireworks are going off and the ball drops!! We are back in the mid-30s on Monday with mostly clear skies; it will be the brightest day of the week. We will mostly be holding in the upper-20s and low-30s the rest of this week.

By this weekend, we could potentially see our first real snowmaker!! There is still A LOT of uncertainty around this system, so make sure to stay tuned for updates. After this is out, we will finally feel more like Winter.
