One arrested after armed robbery at Apache Mall

(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Police Department has arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery at Apache Mall over the weekend.

23-year-old Tamarick Shaffer was taken into custody Tuesday around 11 p.m.

Police said two individuals went into Nuka Llakta Sunday morning around 11:30 a.m. Police said one of the individuals grabbed a sweatshirt and put it into a bag and they began to leave. An employee approached them and tried to grab the bag.

The employee told police one of the men lifted his shirt and showed a gun. The employee said the man then pointed the gun at them.

Police said Shaffer was the one who had the gun. The second suspect has not been arrested police said they believe they know who they are looking for.

Shaffer is facing possible charges of 1st-degree aggravated robbery and 2nd-degree assault. Additional charges are possible.
