(ABC 6 News) – Iowa Senators had a busy day on Monday, passing several bills out of the chamber and forwarding them to the state House.

One of those bills, Senate Study Bill 3113,would restrict non U.S. citizens or foreign businesses from buying farm land in Iowa.

Senate File 2311 headed to the House, the controversial bill that would allow private companies to perform state agency audits, rather than the state auditor’s office.

Auditor Rob Sand calls the bill a “recipe for corruption,” while supports claim it’s about flexibility.

Finally, Senate File 2251 looks to use federal funding to expand postpartum Medicaid coverage for mothers from 60 days to one year will make its way to the House tonight.
