GOP nominee Scott Jensen visits Rochester

Dr. Scott Jensen, Minnesota GOP nominee for Governor, hosted a meet and greet in Rochester Sunday afternoon.

Jensen will challenge Democratic Gov. Tim Walz in the state’s race for governor on Nov. 8. Many Rochester residents came out to Kathy’s Pug to support Jensen and ask him questions.

“I think people are concerned. This isn’t about being mean-spirited or angry or demonizing or vilifying anybody. Minnesota is just not on a path that we want to continue. We are certainly not one Minnesota,” Jensen said.

His request for Gov. Walz between now and the election is to sit down and have conversations.

“I think the best thing Tim Walz could do is let’s have an honest conversation back and forth once a week for the next six or seven weeks,” he said.

Jensen told ABC 6 News that a debate between him and Walz will be held in Rochester on Oct. 18.
