Stewartville teachers union vote on new contract

(ABC 6 News) – Stewartville United Educators are preparing to vote on a new contract.

SUE president Charlie Atkins tells ABC 6 News that informational meetings discussing the new contracts will take place on Thursday and Friday.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the union will vote to approve the new contract.

If approved, the contract will then move onto the school board for ratification at the Feb. 26 meeting.

The Stewartville teachers have gone over 200 days without a contract in place.
