(ABC 6 News) – Iowa Republicans and Democrats are at odds over an issue they agree needs fixing.

Both sides of the aisle are working to address conditions at the state’s nursing homes.

Democrats have put forward four bills, all of which are pushing for more oversight at nursing homes.

Republicans want to overhaul the complaint process, while having staff undergo training on some of the most common kinds of complaints twice a year.
