Case dismissed against Austin man accused of sexually assaulting 3-year-old

(ABC 6 News) – An Austin man accused of sexually assaulting a three-year-old saw his criminal sexual conduct case dismissed earlier this week.

Cole Nicholas Nerison, 23, was scheduled to appear for a pretrial hearing Friday, March 8.

The prosecution dismissed the case Monday, March 4, as they were unable to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt, according to the filing.

(ABC 6 News) – An Austin man appeared in Mower County Court Thursday on charges of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Cole Nicholas Nerison, 22, is accused of sexually touching a three-year-old girl sometime between October 2021 and September 2022.

According to court documents, Nerison was charged after the child reported genital pain and told relatives that Nerison had touched her.

According to court documents, Nerison denied the charge. He is scheduled to appear again in court in March 2023.
