(ABC 6 News) – A Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s deputy received a quilt of valor from the Quilts of Valor Foundation.
Sergeant First Class John Crom received his quilt on Feb. 10 to honor his 20-year service in the Army Reserves and his 10-year service with Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.
When he joined CGCSO, Crom served as a correctional officer.
Quilts of Valor are handmade quilts awarded to servicemembers or veterans “touched by war,” as a thank you for their service.
Crom was one of several recipients of a Quilt of Valor on Friday.
