Saturday snow trending higher/north

A narrow but potent band of snow is looking to cut through Iowa and just barely into Minnesota early Saturday morning. Locally, we’re on the edge. But in parts of central and western Iowa, some places may be looking at 6-8″ of snow.

Across our area, totals will range from nothing to as much as 4-5″. The least (possibly zero) is felt for communities along and north of US 14. Moving southward, the totals will gradually ramp up. It looks like near 2″ around the state line and as much as 4 or 5″ along and south of US 18 in northern Iowa.
