Austin Utilities northeast plant demolition in progress

(ABC 6 News) – A familiar site on the outskirts of austin will soon disappear.
The northeast Austin Utilities plant will be demolished. Work started in November inside the plant removing equipment. All useable motors and equipment will be refurbised and put up for purchase.
The project was originally scheduled to be completed in 2020 but was delayed because of the pandemic.
As of now – there are no future plans for the site.
