Law enforcement searching for missing U of M student

(ABC 6 News) – Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing University of Minnesota – Twin Cities student who has not been heard from since Saturday.
Sumith Maddi, 19, was last seen leaving the 17th Ave. Residence Hall near campus in Minneapolis around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Maddi was last seen wearing a black, puffy down jacket, black pants, and white shoes.
The BCA’s press release says that Maddi is a 6-foot-tall Indian man, weighing around 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Maddi’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the U of MN Police Dept. at 612-624-2677.
