(ABC 6 News) — On Wednesday, the North Star Athletic Association released its preseason coaches polls for college baseball and softball.

The Waldorf Warriors were listed in the polls, with Warriors Baseball looking favorable in the eyes of the coaches. Head coach Joe Tautges’ crew was voted to finish third behind Dakota State and unanimous preseason favorite Bellevue.

Warriors Softball was not as favored, the coaches anticipating coach Justin Uhlenhopp’s team to finish in seventh place.

Of course, only time and on-field results will tell as both programs are set to return to the diamond on February 10 and 17.
