UPDATE: Missing Iowa teen located in Tennessee

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s office posted Thursday that Yaritze Pastor Junech, 16, was located in Tennessee.

According to a July 7 Facebook post, the teenager is safe. The case is ongoing.

(ABC 6 News) – The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s office believes a missing 16-year-old in the company of an unknown man may be traveling toward Tennessee or New York.

Yaritze Pastor Junech, of Ridgeway, IA was reported missing the morning of July 5.

The sheriff’s office reported that she left her residence willingly July 3, in the company of a man she met through social media.

She is not believed to be in the area of Ridgeway or Winneshiek County currently.

Junech is a 16-year-old Hispanic girl standing 5’5" tall and weighing about 100 pounds.

Anyone with information can contact the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office at 563-382-4268. The office is working with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, FBI, and U.S. Marshals Office to locate Junech.
