No injuries reported in Winona house fire

ABC 6 NEWS — A Winona house fire resulted in no injuries, according to a Facebook post from the Winona Fire Department.

According to the post, at approximately 12:46 A.M. on January 22, a sergeant with the Winona Police Department came across a house fire on the 200 block of St. Charles Street.

Crews responded to the blaze, and had it under control in about 30 minutes. The fire department said in their post that the lone occupant of the house was able to make it out prior to crews arriving, adding that, “The American Red Cross in Minnesota is assisting with shelter for the displaced occupant.”

As of now, the cause of the fire is still unknown, and is currently under investigation. The Winona Area Ambulance Service, Winona Street Department and Xcel Energy all assisted at the scene.
