(ABC 6 News) – A Claremont man appeared in Dodge County Court Monday following a rollover crash that injured a man.

According to court documents, Edwin Josue Sevilla-Gonzalez faces one charge of felony criminal vehicular operation–substantial bodily harm, driver who causes collision leaves scene; a charge of felony traffic collision–failure to notify police of personal injury; and misdemeanor driving without insurance.

Sevilla-Gonzalez, 25, is currently held in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on $25,000 bail with conditions, or $75,000 bail without conditions.

According to court documents filed Monday, Jan. 8, Dodge County deputies responded to a rollover crash near 595th Street and 185th Avenue Sunday, Jan. 7.

According to court documents, deputies saw a red Chevrolet Cobalt on its roof in the north dicth of 595th Street, which had no occupants.

Several items from the car were scattered around the ditch, including a Notice and Order of Revocation addressed to Sevilla-Gonzalez and empty alcohol containers, according to court documents.

An order of revocation is served when someone’s drivers license is revoked.

According to court documents, deputies went to Sevilla-Gonzalez’s home and found the vehicle’s keys in his pocket, as well as the red car’s license plates — which had been removed after the crash.

Deputies noted that Sevilla-Gonzalez smelled like alcohol, according to court documents.

He was arrested and placed in a squad car, where he allegedly said he had consumed alcohol the previous evening.

A deputy was approached by a man with dried blood on his face and left arm, who said he was a passenger in the crash, according to court documents.

The man was allegedly holding his head as though it hurt, and also smelled like alcohol.

The man was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in a neck brace after first responders said he had an injury to the vertebrae, according to court documents.

Sevilla-Gonzalez allegedly blew a 0.126 BAC in custody, and was taken to St. Marys for evaluation before being booked into the Olmsted County ADC.

He is scheduled to appear in court again Jan. 17.
