It's a large storm that packs plenty of moisture. It just doesn't look like it's a direct hit for us. More of a glancing blow with some rain on Friday for communities across northern Iowa.
A few things we'll watch, however is for a shift northward which would bring more unnecessary rain our way. Another will be the temperatures in the atmosphere as the setup looks to be one that's just on the warm side of the freezing point which means snow isn't too far off. For now we'll keep it all liquid but parts of Nebraska and South Dakota are looking at some decent snowfall amounts with this one, in addition to rain as well.
