Big Island Rendezvous takes Albert Lea back in time

(ABC 6 News) – The community in Albert Lea stepped back in time, as they wrapped up this year’s Big Island Rendezvous Historical Faire.

The event was held at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday, where people got the chance to immerse themselves in the festivities of a bygone era.

Throughout the weekend there were different vendors and demonstrations that shared parts of Minnesota history.

“We have furs, trinkets, shoes, leathers, furs, all kinds of stuff like that,” said Big Island Rendezvous President Mark Vanvooren.

For over 35 years, people have come together for the Big Island Rendezvous; an annual tradition many look forward to every year.
