(ABC 6 NEWS) - Duck hunting season may be over in Minnesota, but only for humans.

National Eagle Center staff member, Jarod Lueck caught this video of a juvenile bald eagle catching a duck in flight near Brownsville, MN.

Bald eagles are best known for eating fish, but they will also go after small waterfowl if conditions are right.

They take around four to five years to reach maturity and quickly master hunting skills to survive.

While the juvenile made the initial catch, it ultimately lost the duck to an adult.

The National Eagle Center is currently closed for renovations and plans to re-open to the public next spring. They are still holding field trips through the winter season and you can find more here.
