(ABC 6 News) – Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg joined Representative Angie Craig Friday to talk about infrastructure in Minnesota.

In November, Craig was part of a U.S. House effort to pass nearly seven billion dollars in funding for infrastructure projects throuhgout the state.

That included highway projects, bridge replacements and job creation.

"Really, this is just the beginning, because about 80 percent of the money funded as part of the bipartisan infrastructure bills is now going to the state of Minnesota, so that we get these shovel-ready projects implemented and started just as soon as possible" said Representative Angie Craig.

Craig and Buttigieg also highlighted investments in Craig’s voting area, which is the second congressional district as part of the administration’s Building a Better America Rural Infrastructure tour.
