Super gusty winds & slight chance for showers

The rest of this weekend will feature gusty winds, as high as 40-45 MPH. With these winds and low humidity, a Red Flag Warning & Wind Advisory have been added to all counties until 6 PM. Burning is not advised.

A cold front will pass through tonight, allowing for another dramatic temperature drop. It won’t be as dramatic as 70s to single digits, but temperatures are practically cut in half by Monday morning. Winds will be MUCH less gusty, so wind chill will not factor in as much as it would otherwise.

A few showers are expected in southeast Minnesota and northern Iowa on Monday. The timing of these showers is anywhere from about 9 AM to 4 PM. Not everyone is expected to get rainfall, but it will be light for those who do. Temperatures top out in the mid to upper-40s on Monday. We are back into the low-50s for the majority of the rest of the week.

Our best chance for precipitation remains Thursday afternoon through Friday with both rain and snow still possible.
