Storms Tuesday, some could be strong

It was loud overnight and early Tuesday morning as multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms made their way through southeast Minnesota with more expected later in the afternoon.

A warm front will lift north through the area allowing temperatures to warm into the 70s. It will also feel a bit humid.

Additional energy will swing through leading to the chance for showers and thunderstorms generally after 3:00 p.m. Showers and thunderstorm chances will continue through the night before wrapping up early Wednesday.

A strong storm can’t be ruled out with large hail, heavy downpours and frequent lightning as the main threats.
