(ABC 6 News) – If you’re looking for a different way to celebrate Halloween, you have not one, but two different options at the Rochester Civic Theatre.

Opening Thursday, October 27, Murder for Two is a nearly two-hour-long musical version of your classic “whodunit” story. During the show, one tries to figure out who killed the great American novelist Arthur Whitney at his own surprise party.

The show runs October 27 through November 6 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m. You can buy tickets at the door or online.

If you’re looking for another theatrical way to celebrate Halloween, the Black Box theatre will host Haunted Theatre: Wicked Wonka’s Factory! The haunted house takes people through a “different” version of Willy Wonka’s factory.

Two other shows played a part in creating Haunted Theatre. Props and costumes from the fall production of Willy Wonka were reused. The Spookiest House on the Block also donated props and set pieces.

Haunted Theatre runs from October 28 through Halloween from 6-9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or in person.
