(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Quarterback’s Club welcomed its newest members to their hall of fame Monday evening.

The club held a banquet to celebrate individuals from the class of 2020 who either played high school sports or coached at one of the high schools.

Those honored include Angie Meister, a 1993 JM graduate, and the first female to score 1,000 points at the school. Terry Heiderscheit, coached softball, baseball, and girls’ basketball for over 30 years, mostly at John Marshall. Neil McCormack, who was a long-time coach, teacher, and volunteer for Mayo High school and former Lourdes football and basketball player Tom Resner.

Howard Stewart was also honored as the Ben Sternberg Award winner, which is presented to an individual showing their outstanding contribution to sports within the Rochester community.

The banquet was initially scheduled for April 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.

After several more postponements, the banquet was finally held Monday. While the club has been around for over 60 years, this is the club’s 30th hall of fame induction.
