Soggy & Stormy Stretch Starts Today

Good Thursday morning! Many of us had an early wake-up, thanks to a few decent rumbles of thunder. This round of storms will clear out before 10 AM, with a few lingering showers heading into the mid-day. The rest of our Thursday is trending partly sunny & warm once again, with highs headed back into the upper 70s & lower 80s.

A few more showers & storms will return to the forecast again later tonight/early Friday morning, with a third round of storms expected to redevelop later Friday evening/night-Saturday morning. This on & off storm chance will stay put through the weekend, both Saturday (MN Fishing Opener) & Sunday (Mother’s Day).

Temperatures will not be affected all that much with these storm chances, as we are seeing a little clearing with the afternoon breaks. This will allow our highs to stay put in the mid/upper 70s, through the weekend & into early next week. A more prominent steady, early shower on Mother’s Day may keep us from reaching 70° for a high, the “coolest” day over the next 7.
