(ABC 6 News) – Saturday, the 9th annual FEAST! Local Foods Marketplace kicked off at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester this morning.

It is the region’s largenst, non-profit local foods festival. The festival is a one-day foodie haven connecting local easters with 90 growers and makers from Minn., Wisc. and Iowa. A few from Rochester were also at the festival including, Little Thistle, SxSE, The Bee Shed and Four Daughters Winery.

Hundreds of people were in attendance, enjoying these local foods and drinks.

Various vendors were at the festival and sold products such as homemade beers, african foods, real honey and much more.

“I just love seeing each of the vendors with the unique products that you’re not gonna find in the grocery stores,” said Sara George, program coordinator with Renewing Countryside. “When you can know your farmers, and know your food, and you know your growers, it makes a huge difference.”

At the end of the festival, there was a peoples-choice award given out to one of the vendors.
