(ABC 6 News) - Today is Weather Lab Wednesday... which means we get to take a look at our most recent visit. Last week we took the weather lab for its first trip to Iowa at St. Ansgar Elementary. These students came ready to learn and explore with us. Here's how it looked and sounded.
"Hello", announced Meteorologist Cindy Morgan.
"Well, you came to our school," explained Amy Powers, "and gave us some hands-on experience with science."
"So when I remove this, you're going to start to see a cloud floating..." said Chief Meteorologist Chris Kuball.
"They were so excited... to be able to see science be presented in a different way," said Powers.
"OK, so we're going to use science..." said Kuball.
"I didn't know you could make clouds," admitted Matthew Cluvenger.
Nats: "How about now? Yeah! There you go."
"I didn't really know that air could crush a pop can," said Holden Retterath, "That was really cool."
"Let's see what happens," pondered Meteorologist Jim Peterson.
"I'm not really a science guy, but science is really fun and it's awesome," discovered Retterath.
"I watch the weather every morning and I love the weather. I'm excited about the weather and I just thought this would be fun for our students," explained Powers.
"On a scale of 1-10, how much fun did you have today? 10," said Cluvenger.

The school year is beginning to wind down and the ABC 6 Weather Lab has been very successful this year! In an attempt to get to as many places as possible we held a drawing to visit four final schools in during the month of May. We wanted to say congratulations to the following schools!
Chris, Cindy, Jim and The Weather Lab will be at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Rochester. After that, the weather team will be visiting the Vikings at Hayfield Elementary. The Weather Lab will also be making a stop at Bear Creek Intermediate School in Stewartville...and finally, they will visit Southgate in Austin. Tune in on Weather Lab Wednesdays in May to see the recap of our visits to each school.
We also want to remind you that there's still time to become an ABC 6 Weather Lab Assistant. All you have to do is go to our website, kaaltv.com and pick an experiment. Then submit a photo and you could be chosen as our next winner. The next winner will be announced in one week.
