Not a Perfect Monday, Comfy Days Ahead

It’s not the perfect way to start a Monday, but I think you’ll like what comes after today’s rain.

A cold front is in the region and causing this morning’s showers and storms.  There will be a noticeable break from the rain after 10 am, but still some passing showers.  The second round of rain will arrive mainly in North Iowa late this evening, then rain continues into the night.

Once the cold front moves completely to the south tomorrow, rain will end and clouds will begin to break.  While it will be nice to not have to lug around the umbrella, I think most folks will enjoy the drop in humidity most.  Behind this front, the dew points will be much lower, still in a sticky range, but far more tolerable.

A low-pressure system will stall out south of our region late Wednesday through early Saturday.  I think it will keep some extra clouds around our region and bring in some rain at times.  Severe storms seem unlikely with this particular set up but, of course, we’ll be monitoring.
