Saturday’s exhibition game between Team Pezon and Team Kallison may have been just for fun, but a few of the players still took it seriously.

“It was a lot of fun, Hannah Brandt scored on me so that one hurt,” Leveille said. “She’s been my teammate since Gopher times so I’ll have to razz her after this, but it was fun to play with different people.”

Less than a week ago, the Whitecaps won the Isobel Cup, similar to the Stanley Cup, in their team’s first year in the National Women’s Hockey League. An incredible victory that the team is still beaming about.

"It was a fun atmosphere and then to be able to win the Isobel Cup at home and to be able to celebrate with our family and friends was awesome and something I know none of us will forget,” Brandt said. “I've been blessed to be a part of a lot of great teams and I'm just lucky to be where I am right now."

Leveille echoed her teammates’ thoughts and said it was special for everyone involved such as the fans, coaches, and team.

“It was a great game and a great way to end our season."
