The Southeast Flyers placed second among 26 teams at the USA Northern Nationals last weekend.
The team, comprised of players from schools like Chatfield and Dover-Eyota, has dominated in their three years of existence. They have won the Minnesota Gold League State Championships each of the last two seasons, too, proving southeast Minnesota is a hotbed for softball.
Going against top-tier talent, the Flyers continue pushing forward.
"It's very intimidating but it's very fun at the same time because you get to see different talent and see what you can push yourself to be," Chatfield senior Lexi Chase said.
