Passing Down a Passion

(ABC 6 News) - Motocross has found a home in southeast Minnesota. With local products Henry Miller and Alex Martin going pro, the sport is continuing to grow.

For ABC 6's own Tricia Noben, motocross goes far beyond the track. She got hooked on the sport as a kid, racing with her brother and traveling to different races with her dad.

Now she is passing on the sport to a third generation. Her son Jason has taken to the sport well, and is just the latest Noben to be tearing up the track.

"Racing versus other people, hitting jumps, trying to go faster than them. It's just the best sport I think," Jason said.

While Tricia is always worried with her son's well-being during a race, she is happy that the sport she loves is being kept in the family.

"It's amazing to see how much better he gets every single time he gets on the track," Tricia said. "How much bigger the smile is when he gets off the bike. It's fascinating"
