(ABC 6 News) - Months of hard work and preparation will be revealed when the Rochester Honkers open their 2019 campaign on Tuesday at Mayo Field.

When fans arrive, they might spot some new features.

“We have put a new bar rail in on the flight deck with stool seating as well," Honkers General Manager Jay Fanta said. "So, a lot of the groups that are going to come out are going to see an enhanced experience out on the decks. We also have our new home plate club. That’s another all-inclusive experience with wait-service and [has] your higher end food."

In addition to the new seating behind home plate and in the outfield, there is also a new menu and all you can eat specials.

“For $20 this year you get all you can eat for 90 minutes behind home plate so your ball park favorites, your sides,” Fanta explained about the new food options at the yard.

The fun doesn't stop at new seating and food. The Honkers have a whole new slate of nightly promotions with a really cool one on deck.

“Our big promotion here is with Riddle’s Jewelry," Fanta said. "It’s kind of a new one here. We’re doing a diamond dig. So, basically the first 200 fans through the gate will have a chance to dig for a real diamond on the infield after the game. They can redeem that and one lucky fan will actually win a real diamond.

Fanta also said that there will be more on field activities for families who are bringing their kids.

"That’s what they want," he expressed. "They want that in between innings entertainment to entertain kids. We want the non-baseball fan out here as well cause we are presenting an experience and that’s something we are definitely going to deliver on.”

All of these changes are to enhance the fan experience and draw in both the baseball, and non-baseball, goers.

“We look at where baseball is going and what people enjoy at the ballpark," Fanta started. "They like the all-inclusive experience, they like to have room, they like the table top experience for businesses to bring clients out, to entertain families, they like the stool seating in the outfield. A lot of home plate clubs going in across the league so that’s kind of where it’s going, the all-inclusive experience.”

New ownership can bring many changes and the Honkers have said their vision is pretty clear.

“New ownership, new promotions, new ticket packages, all you can eat opportunities, home plate club," Fanta said are just among some of the changes fan should expect. "This is just the tip of the iceberg. We know Rochester is a sleeping giant and we’re here to wake it up.”

The focus isn't only on the stadium. The Honkers have done a great deal to bolster their roster for this upcoming season. They are bringing in some high-level talent and Fanta said fans will see some of the best baseball in the country.

"A lot of these guys will go on to get drafted," he said. "We have four guys who were drafted out of high school that will be on the roster. There will be scouts here. It’s a high level of baseball and we’re going to surround it with a high level of entertainment.”

Fanta also added that with multiple guys coming from top-25 programs, their goal is to win the league every year.
