(ABC 6 News) — Rain forced out many local high school games, but not Med City FC.

The Mayhem hosted Minneapolis City SC Wednesday, the latter having beaten Rochester FC the week before. The visitors were up 1-0 10 minutes in as Med City’s Toby Millward aimed for the box but couldn’t equalize.

However, the Mayhem got a welcome surprise in the 24th minute, Joshua Balsiger threw in the ball aiming for a Med City teammate. Instead, a Minnesota City player tried to headbutt the ball out of play but ended up gifting the Mayhem an own goal. With the score tied 1-1, the afternoon got better for Med City, James Averies passed to Scott Neil for the 2-1 lead.

The Mayhem would score again as they notched another victory, stumping Minneapolis City 3-1.
