Mayo baseball responds to JM’s 5-run inning with one of their own, tops rivals in Section 1AAAA first-round matchup

(ABC 6 News) — The Mayo Spartans once again had to come from behind to dispatch their inner-city rivals, the John Marshall Rockets. The Rockets lead 7-4 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but timely hits from the Mayo quartet of Ethan Labash, Mason Leimbek, Carson Beavers and Chase Gasner propels the Spartans to a 12-8 victory.
