Kenyon-Wanamingo, and Dover-Eyota get dominant season-opening wins
(ABC 6 Sports) — Thursday Night Lights? No problem for the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights, who defeated the NRHEG Panthers at home 26-6 in the season opener.
Junior running back Dillon Bartel scored a touchdown on the opening drive for Kenyon-Wanamingo, and from there the Knights’ defense asserted control. They constantly got into the Panthers backfield and created havoc.

Elsewhere in Southeast Minnesota, Dover-Eyota went on the road and got a dominant victory against Zumbrota-Mazeppa. The game was scoreless in the first quarter, but the Eagles seized control in the second quarter on touchdowns from Landon Lehnertz and Levi Williams. Dover-Eyota would go on to win 36-0.
