Helming’s 28 points pace NIACC Trojans to 83-65 victory over Wartburg College

(ABC 6 News) – Chett Helming scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the NIACC men’s basketball team to an 83-65 victory over the Wartburg College Junior Varsity Sunday afternoon in the NIACC gym.

Helming, a sophomore from Lake Mills, was 11 of 17 from the field, including four 3-point goals, in the non-league victory.

NIACC and the Wartburg JV were tied 42-42 at the half, but the Trojans outscored the Knights 41-23 in the second 20 minutes. NIACC improved to 9-12 with Sunday’s win.
