Early highlights of Day 1 of the Rotary Classic

(ABC 6 News) — Olmsted County schools showed out for the final Rotary Classic at the Mayo Civic Center. Stewartville blasted John Marshall in girls’ basketball 85-35 and Mayo beat Bloomington Kennedy in boys’ basketball 67-52.

In the afternoon, Mayo and Lourdes both overcame sluggish first halves to put away Farmington and Totino Grace respectively. As for the John Marshall boys’ basketball team, they competed with the #7 Plainview-Elgin-Millville out of Class 2A but ultimately lost 64-56.
