(ABC 6 News) - The Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Southland wrestling team beat Dover-Eyota 43-30 to win the section title Saturday.

The Bulldogs hit the ground running taking the first three matches. Then after losing the next three, Donavon Felten got the team back on track with a win in the 145 weight class.

That set the tone for the Bulldogs, who started to pull away, clinching their first trip to state since 2005. After years waiting for his chance, senior captain Christian Jacobsen is itching for his chance in the state tournament.

"It means so much to me. It's been a dream come true. I've been looking forward to this since my seventh grade year. And this is the first time it's came true, so it's just a blessing to me," Jacobsen said.

The state wrestling tournament starts on Thursday February 27.
