(ABC 6 News) - Grand Meadow football is no stranger to success, and the team is looking to return to state champion status with a loaded roster.
The Superlarks were a solid 7-3 a year ago but went through growing pains with a lot of new faces on the field.
"Last year we were really limited with what we could do with our inexperience and stuff," Head Coach Gary Sloan said. "We had a hard time physically and mentally at times."
Grand Meadow returns every single starter from last year's team, which means the potential is through the roof.
"At this point in the season this year we're just miles ahead of where we were a year ago," Sloan said.
Grand Meadow was great on defense last season, allowing more than 10 points just four times. With so much returning talent, the Superlarks have the makeup of a 9-man powerhouse.
