Century falls to Minneapolis North in boys lacrosse thriller

(ABC 6 News) — Under the setting sun, Century and Minneapolis North boys lacrosse put on a show Friday night.

The game was close throughout, Century keeping up with the Polars through a sequence from freshman Ashton Hale and sophomore Bennett Pronk. Hale finding Pronk to tie the game at 7-7 just moments before halftime.

The third quarter saw the Panthers take the lead thank to juniors Jonah Ottman and Owen Hemmingson, the latter taking the feed for a 9-8 score. But Minneapolis North would tie the game again and then win it in the waning seconds thanks to Connor Dicks’ game-winning goal.

The Panthers losing a heartbreaker, 10-9, as they look towards Tuesday’s home game against Mankato on May 17th.
