Caledonia Staying the Course

August 21, 2019 11:09 PM

(ABC 6 News) - The Caledonia Warriors have not lost a game of football since 2014, but are the first to play down the winning streak that has led them to multiple state titles.

"More people are worried about that streak than we are, I can assure you of that," Head Coach Carl Fruechte said.

The Warriors have constantly reloaded their roster, and are looking to be a threat once again, bringing back numerous starters like quarterback Noah King. With everyone's eyes on the big picture- maintaining the streak- the Warriors are the first ones to acknowledge that it will have to end one day.

"If it were to end it wouldn't be the end of the world, as long as it doesn't happen in the playoffs. That's all that matters, is that you're rolling in the playoffs," King said

The Warriors start their journey for another state title August 30 against Red Wing.
