(ABC 6 News) - The second-seeded Caledonia boys basketball team plays top-seeded Minneapolis North at 2 pm Wednesday in the AA state semifinals.

The Warriors are 22-1 this season, with their lone loss coming across state lines against Onalaska in Wisconsin. Caledonia is used to winning, advancing to the state tournament for the sixth time in eight years. Entering Wednesday's matchup they are in unfamiliar territory as the underdog, at least on paper. The Polars are ranked second in AA and the Warriors are number three.

This late in the season, though, numbers on paper don't matter. Caledonia's seniors are only worried about performance.

"Yeah we're definitely looking forward to it. I mean all of us guys have dreamed of getting to play in this moment since we were little. We've all worked hard for it. Yeah, it should be fun," senior Andrew Kunelius said. "We have nothing to hang our hats about if we leave it all out there. Just go out there and give it maximum effort is our only thing we can control."

Caledonia's game at 2 pm and Hayfield's semifinals game at noon can be watched on our subchannel, 6.2 This TV.
