(ABC 6 News) - Stewartville setter Jaidyn Brower is a big reason the Tigers are 11-1 on the volleyball court, and the top 2A team in Minnesota.
The junior made the change to setter before the start of last season, and hasn't looked back.
"I really enjoy it. You can kind of control the court and control the plays and everything," Brower said.
Last Thursday she reached the 1,000 set assist mark in just over a season at the setter position, proving it is a natural fit.
"It was incredible and I could not do it without my team. You always need a good pass to make a good set and then a good set to get the kill," Brower said.
As good as her skills have gotten, Head Coach John Dzubay says it's her intangibles that make her the player she is.
"Her setting skills have gotten better. But I think more than that, just the mental part of the game she's gotten better. Even more than her setting ability. She's figuring out the position, who to set at the right time, reading blockers. She's just becoming more mental into the game," Dzubay said.
