(ABC 6 News) — A great day outside called for the Big 9 Boys Tennis Tournament on Saturday.

Multiple schools came out to the Rochester Outdoors Tennis Center with singles and doubles action abound. Century’s Cameron Nelson and Mankato West’s Ian Kim went at it as Nelson found a sweet spot on the left corner for a point.

Later on, as a small rally built, Kim put a tad too much heat and ended up sending his serve out of bounds. Nelson won the match 6-3, 6-2, over Kim.

Mayo’s Ian Kiesel and John Marshall’s and Phillip Dahlen dueled a steady match occasionally interrupted by the net. Despite, this Kiesel ended up claiming victory in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.
